There are some groups that reject the idea of accepting diversity of cultures and languages in a same stage. Nevertheless, there are some postures that consider that this phenomenon of multiculturalism has to be assimilated and integrated to the community.

In spite of the attempts, it’s clear that this situation is thought as a problem to solve. But the direct consequence has to do with the loss of identity and moral hurt caused to children who are not accepted.

It’s necessary to understand the great reward can be got from learning about not only different cultures but also other languages. If an educational program bears in mind bilingual processes, the students will develop more flexibility and complexity in their thinking. In contrast, if the schools discourage from avoiding the use of the mother tongue, they are actually undermining children’s personal and conceptual foundation to learn.
